CODE OF CONDUCT
1/ Politeness & respect towards coaches, the resort staff, and players:
Coaches have professional experiences as players and have a great deal to share to the players. The resort staff is dedicated to offer the best hospitality service to all. Other players expect to build friendship and share a great camp experience together. We request all to adopt simple and basic habits of politeness and respect towards coaches, the resort staff, and other players. This helps building trust, healthy communication, and a base to develop great relationship.
2/ Sports mind:
FC Nomade camps are meant to be serious soccer camps. Soccer education is the core of the camp’s program. Players will have their sports abilities and knowledge challenged. Players should be ready to engage in organized, and sometimes, intense soccer and athletic training. The right amount of discipline will be used. This ensures that players learn, improve, enjoy, and grow their passion in their favorite sports.
3/ First time comers - home-sick:
Being separated from families for a few days can be a new experience for some players. They need to understand this is a positive experience and that it only lasts for a few days before they go back to their families. Please, explain to them this is a unique experience and opportunity for them to grow mature and responsible, and connect with new teammates all in the same case. It is very difficult for the staff to manage players who wish to go home in the middle of the camp and want to avoid these situations.
This is also for these reasons that parents cannot stay at the resort with the players during the camp or attend the practices. This way the players can fully focus on the camp and on connecting with coaches and teammates. Other players can also feel home sick seeing their teammates' parents around.
4/ Mobile phones and tablets restriction:
The use of mobile phones and tablets is restricted to the break time between the “return from the afternoon practice” and “dinner time” (about an hour). If they wish so, players should communicate with parents during this time. Habits of excessive use of mobile phones have been proven to be a problem during camps. We put at the players disposal different means to connect with each other and engage in real activities such as: outdoor activities, board games, video games, movies on the big screen…
INJURIES OR SICKNESS
In case of a player gets injured or sick during the camp, we can take him/her to the doctor or to the hospital after contacting the parents. In case of an accident or injury during the practice, the club’s insurance will cover part of the medical expenses for registered members at FC Nomade.
