CODE OF CONDUCT
1/ Politeness & respect towards coaches, the resort staff, and players:
Coaches have professional experiences as players and have a great deal to share to the players. The resort staff is dedicated to offer the best hospitality service to all. Other players expect to build friendship and share a great camp experience together. We request all to adopt simple and basic habits of politeness and respect towards coaches, the resort staff, and other players. This helps building trust, healthy communication, and a base to develop great relationship.
2/ Sports mind:
FC Nomade camps are meant to be serious soccer camps. Soccer education is the core of the camp’s program. Players will have their sports abilities and knowledge challenged. Players should be ready to engage in organized, and sometimes, intense soccer and athletic training. The right amount of discipline will be used. This ensures that players learn, improve, enjoy, and grow their passion in their favorite sports.
3/ First time comers - home-sick:
Being separated from family for a few days can be a new experience for first-time participants. It’s important to help them understand that this is a positive experience, and that they will return to their families in just a few days. This is a valuable opportunity for them to grow, develop a sense of responsibility, and connect with new teammates. It’s crucial to explain that returning home in the middle of camp can be very difficult for staff to manage, so we hope to avoid such situations as much as possible.
For this reason, we ask that parents refrain from staying at the resort with the players or attending practices during the camp. This helps players focus on the camp and build strong connections with coaches and teammates, and it prevents other players from feeling homesick by seeing their teammates’ parents. Words of worry from parents can make children anxious, so please send them off with positive encouragement. We also request that phone calls or messages to children under 12 be minimized during the camp. While communication during free time is possible, it can increase the likelihood of homesickness. We ask for parents' support and understanding in helping their children grow through this experience.
4/ Mobile phones and tablets restriction:
The use of mobile phones and tablets is only allowed during free time. During this time, if players wish, they may contact their parents, but only during the free time before dinner. Excessive use of mobile phones has often proven to be a problem during camps. Therefore, players are encouraged to engage in real activities and make the most of their time connecting with others through outdoor activities, board games, video games, and movies on the big screen.
INJURIES OR SICKNESS
In case of a player gets injured or sick during the camp, we can take him/her to the doctor or to the hospital after contacting the parents. In case of an accident or injury during the practice, the club’s insurance will cover part of the medical expenses for registered members at FC Nomade.
